MEET JAYLA

At just 18, Jayla is facing battles most high schoolers never dream of—homelessness, no transportation, and the weight of building a future on uncertain ground. But within Mercy’s Student Self-Sufficiency Program, she’s rewriting her story with faith, courage, and determination.

A student at PACE Center for Girls, Jayla dreams of working in the construction industry and was chosen for a pilot internship through our partner, Operation Lifeline. But there was one thing holding her back: no way to get there.
