Clay County Sheriff

A lifelong public servant, Sheriff Cook is known for leading with strength, integrity, and compassion. With a heart for protecting and strengthening families, she has built a career rooted in service to the community she calls home.

Randy Anderson

Former Mayor & Current Councilman, Orange Park

From serving 26 years in the US Navy and retiring as a Master Chief at NAS Jax, to leading the Town of Orange Park as Mayor (2021–2026) and 3-term Town Council member, Randy Anderson has dedicated his life to serving our country and community.

Connie Thomas

CEO of Impact Clay & Impact Works

Connie Thomas is a Clay County native, board-certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and community leader with more than 35 years of service. As CEO of Impact Clay and Impact Works, she brings together businesses, faith communities, nonprofits, and government partners to strengthen the community and improve lives.

Jon Cantrell

President of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce

Jon Cantrell is the President of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, following nearly 25 years as publisher of Clay Today. He is known for his extensive network of local business leaders, and ability to connect resources that help Clay County businesses grow.

Join us at the 2026 Night of Hope Gala: Jockeys & Juleps as we celebrate generosity, community, and the mission of Mercy Support Services. The Race for the Roses Champion will be announced live during the annual gala.

Race for the Roses is more than a friendly competition. Every donation supports Mercy Support Services as we help individuals and families in Clay County move from crisis toward stability through compassionate guidance, practical support, and lasting hope.
